I am a 38-year-old mother of 2. I nursed both of my kids for a little over a year each. I've always been ashamed of "my girls" and thought they were too small and imperfect. Your website shows the real diversity that is out there and I am happy to see that REAL breasts are not Hollywood breasts. Thanks again! I am happy with "my girls" now!" |
"- Age:21 Cup size: 34A
- I have been pregnant twice before and am currently 9 weeks pregnant, though my breasts have not ever changed in size during any pregnancies - they just felt a little fuller. Some stretch marks.
- Breast fed both children for about 2 weeks
- I have always been very thin and always had a difficult time gaining weight. Before I got pregnant with my first child I weighed 100 lbs and have lost weight with each child.
In my family, everyone has at least a D cup, so when my boobs stopped growing in 8th grade I became the butt of everyone's jokes for years. I used to be ashamed of my small boobs, but then I grew to love and accept them. Now I have found a wonderful man who loves my small cup size, which I partially attribute to my ability to be confident about the way I look. As for this website, it's so wonderful to see what a normal breast looks like, not being portrayed in a sexual manner or hiding what society tells us are imperfections. Kudos to everyone with the courage to send their picture!" |
"I am 27 years old and have two children (one of which I breastfed for about a month). I do have stretch marks and sagging; one nipple is perkier than another. I have never been overweight and am no longer as athletic as I was 10 years ago. I regret being so ashamed of my breasts before I had my children. I was a 36C and size 5 and felt completely abnormal. Turns out, I was abnormally beautiful. Now that my breasts are different, I have to try to remind myself that although they are not perfect, they are still beautiful but in a different way than before." |

| "I am 34 yrs old have a breast size of 38C and have had 3 children and
breastfed them all, the youngest one for 18mths. As you can see my
left nipple is very slightly tilted which you only really notice when
my nipples are erect. I am overweight but I'm very happy with my
breasts, I notice they are now going slightly south, but I don't mind
too much, after all nature will take it's course! Thank you for your
website - liberating and encouraging!" |
"I am a 31 year old mother of one. I breastfed for 4 years. I have always been average weight." |
"I'm 30 years old, and about 5' 5", roughly 140 pounds, and I'm a little smaller than a 36D. In high school and college I was always frustrated by clothing, swimsuits and bras that seemed to be made only for girls with cute perky size B breasts. Bra shopping has always been an awful experience for me. My left breast has always been a bit bigger than the right and I was self-conscious and worried that other people might be able to tell. In spite of the imperfections, I've been able to breastfeed for nearly 3 years, and my daughters are happy and healthy. I breastfed my first daughter for almost 18 months, and I'm approaching 17 months nursing my second daughter. During pregnancy and the beginning of breastfeeding, I got up to a 38E and got some stretch marks and acne scars. Now they are shrinking back to "normal" size but they are a little saggier than before, more due to gravity than nursing. I've gotten pretty comfortable with my breasts, and actually grown to like them. Sometimes when I think about it, I'm amazed at what they are capable of. My husband loves them too :)" |

"I came across your site by accident. I have always felt self conscious about my breasts not being big enough. It was very interesting reading what other people had to say. In the past I have wanted surgery to make my breasts 'bigger' but I now try to be more positive about them and I actually like the way they look now, though its taken me 43 years to get here!!
Alot of the way women feel and think about their breasts is influenced by media images, and when you are a teenager going through puberty this can have a great impact on the way you look at yourself, I remember it really did for me. One of the best ways I think we can change negative self image is to do something about changing the way media represents women's bodies in the future. We owe it to our daughters and their daughters to protect them from falling prey to the same pressures.
I am 43 years old and have two children, the oldest is 18 and the youngest
is 8. I breast fed both my children for about 9 months. I have never had
any surgery and I am a medium build and not overweight or skinny. I did not gain much weight when I was pregnant with either my children and what I did I lost fairly quickly after they were born." |
"I am a 57-year old mother of 5. My last child is 15 years old. I breast fed for about 10 years total. I love my breast and my husband does too. I didn't wear a bra while in high school until a teacher took me aside and told me I should. I wore a bra when I went out in public for most of my pregnancy and nursing years. But at home I was mostly braless. To this day, I go braless as
much as possible. It just feels good to be free. In my younger years I used to think that when I finished having children I would get a breast lift, but now I think my breasts are just great the way they are." |
"Age 32, 32B / 34", slim build, always been very slim, now a size 10 (british size). One pregnancy, breast fed 18 months. Breasts same bra size after feeding but a little saggier which I preferred. Faded stretch marks from breast feeding where I went to 34C. Scar tissue on right nipple from breast feeding probs (ouch!) which makes my right nipple a lot bigger than the other. Currently using herbs to increase bust size - 1/2 inch added over a few months, and they feel fuller and firmer too (felt 'empty' after feeding)
my bottom is quite a bit bigger than my breasts so I look a little 'pear shaped'
I do like my breasts and their shape (I'm very happy with the shape), but feel inadequate due to media and idea that bigger breasts are better than small (and more 'womanly' grrr), and I would say that I am self-conscious and quite emotionally sensitive of the size, but happy with my overall body image. Ff there wasn't lots of pictures of big breasted slim models all over the place, I would feel a lot happier with myself!!" |

| "I'm a 22-year old of African, European, and Korean decent, and I am four months pregnant with my first child. I plan on breastfeeding and have already grown a full cup size (from a 36DD to a 36DDD). My left breast has always been slightly larger and sits lower than my right breast. I am content with the size of my areolas but wish for sexual pleasure and breastfeeding reasons that the nipples protruded more. I am a little concerned that after child birth my nipples will point down more. Sometimes I wish my breasts were smaller because I can't wear cute halter tops or tube tops due to needing thick shirt straps and a bra all of the time. But my 37-inch hips even out my 27-inch waist and chest size so I am happy with being an hourglass." |
"55 yrs old, 36C. Before menopause 34B. I gained 30 pounds in 10 years. Was always stick thin entire life until 45. Breasts were always very small. They ballooned since menopause and weight gain. No breast surgery. Take natural HRT. I have cystic breasts and my mamos always come out with positive. Periodically I break down and have a breast biopsy which up to now have been negative. " |
"Almost 44 years old, 5'3", about 15 lbs overweight currently. Have had up and down weight, am more out of shape than want to be. I have an "hourglass" shape with small waist, large hips (and thighs, ugh) and ribcage/shoulders whether heavy or thin. Several pregnancies that ended early in miscarriage - none to term, and therefore no breastfeeding. Always extremely self-conscious about small breasts - lots of teasing as a early developing pre-teen to a small busted teenager from both male and females. " |

| "52 years old with two kids. Recently lost 130 pounds and it has deflated my breasts. I developed very early. I feel like my breasts peaked at age nine and its been down hill ever since."
|
"I've been pregnant twice. I breastfed for as long as I could, but couldn't produce, enough milk after the first month. I have an athletic build with broad shoulders. I truly believe I have abnormal breasts with stretch marks. I tried the Breast Enhancement pill called Bloussant. Obviously it did not work for me, not even a little bit. I'm very disappointed at my breasts."
[Note: If this lady was able to produce milk for the 1st month, then the breasts could very well be normal.] |
"I am a 37-year old mother of two (breastfed both). I hated my breasts
throughout my teens and 20s, because at 34A they seemed small and unfeminine
to me, and because I was teased relentlessly in school as being "flat
chested".
v
Amazingly, after both babies my breasts swelled to 36D, which was totally
delightful. Now I had big, beautiful boobs - and a post-baby belly to match
(still - it was a glass half full for me)!
Nearly ten years after my youngest was born, I am a 36A and still have
ambivalent feelings about my breasts. Breastfeeding stretched them and
actually improved their shape; I now have a nice fold beneath my breasts
that gives the impression of more volume than is actually there! My right
breast has always been smaller than my left, and my right nipple sits half
an inch or more lower than my left. I don't really notice the asymmetry
unless I see a photograph (my husband is an enthusiastic photographer), then
I get self-conscious all over again.
My husband loves my breasts - he has found them exciting throughout every
stage of our relationship and tells (and shows) me constantly that he finds
them beautiful. I never have to wear a bra, and having small breasts makes
me look slimmer than I would if they were large. They will never sag too
far, which is another plus. On the other hand, I felt so sexy and feminine
with my post-baby D cups. I have seriously contemplated surgery in the past,
but I find most images of big fake breasts very unattractive, and I would
never have plastic bags of poison inserted into my body." |
